LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL DISTRICTS IN NEPAL

Lions Club International Districts in Nepal has an intricate array of politics, due to the presence of multiple administrators, divisions, sessions, councils, and committees all vying to influence the District. Each District has a Governor in charge of recommending policies and implementing initiatives in order to improve the functioning of the District. Additionally, the Governor is responsible for the nomination of Council Chairpersons to preside over discussions and decisions. These chairpersons must also coordinate with various districts, planning events and assuring compliance with Lions International requirements. Furthermore, each District is divided into Councils, which are made up of local Lions Clubs. Within each Council, Club Presidents are responsible for ensuring that all Lions Club International regulations are met, and for organizing and implementing member events. Lastly, each Council is allocated a Lion Tamer who works in coordination with their District Governor to ensure that all District Governance guidelines are met. Each District is also represented through a wide variety of committees: education, health, fellowship, youth, and fundraising. Through the various committees, conversations are held about important issues pertaining to Lions Club International and the District’s vision is shaped. It is through this intricate web of politics and committee organization that the Lions Club International Districts in Nepal are able to achieve their objectives of service and improving the lives of the citizens.
