Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) is providing much needed relief to the region of Marrakech, Morocco following a devastating earthquake. LCIF is leading the initiative by issuing a Major Catastrophe Grant of US$100,000 so that Lions from across the region can assist in providing relief. This grant is part of LCIF's ongoing commitment to supporting disaster relief and humanitarian assistance around the globe. Through this grant, LCIF is ensuring that local Lions can provide resources to those affected by the earthquake by purchasing emergency supplies such as first aid kits, tents, blankets, and more. LCIF and its partner Lions Clubs are also working to provide emotional and mental health support to those affected by the disaster. As the impact of the earthquake is evaluated, LCIF stands ready to respond to emerging needs and provide additional resources towards the relief effort. With its generous Major Catastrophe Grant, LCIF hopes to assist Lions in providing humanitarian relief to those impacted by this tragedy.
