BLOOD DONATION
The Lions Club of Nepal has been actively involved in blood donation and humanitarian activities in Nepal. For many years, the club has organized and conducted various blood donation campaigns in different parts of Nepal, including the remote parts. The members of the Lions Club, in partnership with various government and non-government organizations, have been able to collect an average of approximately 6500 units of blood every year through these campaigns. The Lions Club has also organized seminars, workshops, and meetings to educate people about the importance of donating blood, its safe ways, and the right process to follow for donation. These meetings also emphasize the need of regular donation and the importance of body fitness before donating. Furthermore, the members of the club have arranged to provide aids such as lunch, refreshments, caps, t-shirts and pamphlets about the respective campaign to the donors. The Lions Club of Nepal has been working with various hospitals and blood banks in Kathmandu and other places in Nepal to provide all necessary support in blood donation and blood-related services. These activities have been of great help in providing timely and adequate blood services in many parts of the country. Moreover, the club has also provided financial support to many poor people who are in need of blood transfusions for the treatment or for surgeries. The Lions Club of Nepal has managed to achieve its objectives through its unwavering commitment and dedication to the cause of blood donation and other humanitarian activities in Nepal. It is the hope of the club that its efforts in promoting blood donation and providing medical services would benefit the Nepalese people in the long run.
