EYE VISSION SERVICES

Lions Clubs International (LCI) is a globally renowned organization which has been a prominent voice in charity and social services since 1917. Apart from actively engaging in a wide range of charitable and social service activities for the welfare of the communities they serve, one of the most important causes taken up by LCI is Humanitarian . In an effort to help those in need of basic vision care, LCI has established and actively participates in a number of eye vision programs for blind, visually impaired, and medically disadvantaged individuals. Programs are designed with the objective of improving the quality of life of those afflicted with eye problems, with the ultimate goal of fully restoring their sight. The programs provide free basic eye test, comprehensive ocular and medical evaluations, materials such as glasses, and in some cases, surgeries to repair vision problems.

Moreover, with the help of modern technology and techniques, LCI attempts to make such treatments available to a wider reach of people, including remote and developing areas. Additionally, Lions Club’s vision-care programs include activities such as providing remedial teaching to the blind and visually impaired, organizing public awareness and education campaigns, opening eye care hospitals, and participating in eyeglass collections to help those in need.
With such activities, Lions Clubs International shows itself to be a powerful force that is committed to improving global eye care and restoring the basic human right of sight for millions around the world.

Disaster Relief

Whenever and wherever disaster strikes, Lions are often among the first to offer aid. Through generous donations to the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) and local Lions club fundraising efforts, Lions work to provide immediate relief and restoration to those affected by natural and man-made disasters. LCIF assesses the need and then works directly with Lions or through affiliates to provide immediate response to disaster-affected communities.
