Kindness Matters

Kindness matters, especially in this day and age. Appearing in the form of acts both big and small, kindness can help make the world a better place. Lions Clubs International is committed to fostering a culture of kindness, launching several initiatives and campaigns to make it easier for volunteers to have a positive impact on their community. Headed by members dedicated to serving the world around them, Lions Clubs International’s volunteer efforts have made a lasting impact on millions of people in need. From curing eyesight problems to providing relief efforts in times of crisis, Lions Clubs International has done it all and then some. Lions Clubs International strives to promote kindness and acceptance since their founding in 1917. Through their annual worldwide conventions, global service projects, and local initiatives, they give Lions members opportunities to volunteer, network, and serve their local and global communities. Lions also partner with other service organizations and nonprofit groups to bring awareness to various causes or to offer additional resources to those in need.

With so much kindness in the world, it is more important than ever for individuals and nonprofits alike to strive to make a difference and be a force of good. Lions Clubs International continues to show why kindness matters.

Disaster Relief

Whenever and wherever disaster strikes, Lions are often among the first to offer aid. Through generous donations to the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) and local Lions club fundraising efforts, Lions work to provide immediate relief and restoration to those affected by natural and man-made disasters. LCIF assesses the need and then works directly with Lions or through affiliates to provide immediate response to disaster-affected communities. LCIF is backed by the worldwide Lions community of 1.5 million members in 207 countries and geographic areas. By taking the lead in providing food, shelter and medical aid to impacted regions, Lions help to restore hope and give people the tools they need to rebuild their lives. LIONS QUEST

  Lions Quest is an international educational program that has been developed and implemented by the Lions Club International. It has been designed to equip pre-adolescents, adolescents, and educators with the skills and knowledge necessary to become responsible citizens and socially active members of their communities. The program aims to create life-long learners through a combination of character education, service-learning experiences and social/emotional/mental-health skill building. It supports the development of essential core character qualities, such as respect, responsibility, integrity, and compassion.
