Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) is providing much needed relief to the region of Marrakech, Morocco following a devastating earthquake. LCIF is leading the initiative by issuing a Major Catastrophe Grant of US$100,000 so that Lions from across the region can assist in providing relief. This grant is part of LCIF's ongoing commitment to supporting disaster relief and humanitarian assistance around the globe. Through this grant, LCIF is ensuring that local Lions can provide resources to those affected by the earthquake by purchasing emergency supplies such as first aid kits, tents, blankets, and more. LCIF and its partner Lions Clubs are also working to provide emotional and mental health support to those affected by the disaster. As the impact of the earthquake is evaluated, LCIF stands ready to respond to emerging needs and provide additional resources towards the relief effort. Today, the Lions Club of Kathmandu Bashishtha, District 325L, organized an amazing Hunger Relief Program at "Asahaye Jestha Nagarik Samaj", Sorakhutte, providing food items to old, orphaned people. With the world growing ever more connected, it's essential that we all take responsibility for the physical and emotional well-being of those in need. This is the kind of positive action the Lions Club of Kathmandu Bashishtha is known for. The club strives to make a difference in the lives of individuals in its community, and today's Hunger Relief Program is just another example of its efforts to make a difference. It was truly heartening to see so many members of the Lions Club of Kathmandu Bashishtha come forward to help the elderly Orphans. As we distributed food items, we not only provided them with nourishment – we also showed compassion and kindness.
